I needed to execute the lab using SSH from the compute engine, and these steps were not in the instructions. The only way that I was able to execute this lab, was to ask the wonderful customer support at Google Qwiklabs on how to perform the exact steps. I was running the command using the cloud shell in incremental steps and/or a shell script, and the lab grading system was unable to understand.
